Comments must be submitted online by the deadline of 23rd April.  The developer has lodged an appeal against the refusal of planning permission for 41 new homes at Bishops Lane which can be found on the Appeal register (opens in new window)The appeal will be decided by an Inspector on written representations. Parish Councillors discussed the appeal at their Planning Committee on 8th April.  They are submitting a further comment objecting to the proposal following the recent consultation on the Rother Draft Local Plan.  This comment will stress that the site has not been included for development in the Rother Plan which already proposes a large number of new homes are built in the village, and the Parish Council strongly supported that the site should be excluded from the Rother plan.  It is also felt that the Inspector should visit the site as part of their decision making and it has confirmed that the Inspector will do so.  If you have already submitted comments on Rother website these will be read by the Inspector but you can modify or submit new comments on the Appeal website (opens in new window)by 11.59pm on 23 April.
