We are very fortunate to be located within the High Weald National Landscape, an area of outstanding natural beauty in South East England. The area has an abundance of footpaths and many residents have a choice of country walks direct from their doorstep.
David Allen has produced ‘Walks in Salehurst and Robertsbridge’ (3rd edition 2013) which he has kindly given permission for us to provide here.
In 2025 Robertsbridge Footpath Group was formed by the Parish Council. The group has produced a new guide to walks in and around the village Walking Robertsbridge ( June 2026) The footpath group is made up of local volunteers with the purpose of helping to maintain the local paths, report any issues and encourage their use. If you are interested in joining the group contact Councillor Simon Longhurst. Individual walks in the guide can be found below, organised by length from shortest to longest. We have also mapped the walks on OS Maps for walkers to check their route whilst out walking, or to download for later use (each walk is labelled as Robertsbridge Footpath Group). We welcome feedback on the walks. Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped to produce the guide and map the walks on OS Maps.

If you find a problem with a path either report it to the Clerk or directly at the report a problem with a right of way page on the East Sussex County Council website. Where possible report an issue yourself. This helps East Sussex Rights of Way team prioritise maintenance work by showing how many people are affected by broken stiles, trees down across paths etc.
