A message from our Chairman Nick Brown
The Parish Council would like to send Seasons Greetings to all our residents and thank all those who have supported us during this busy year. We are always busy on behalf of the village but we would like to highlight the following achievements in 2025:
MARCH: After meeting with National Highways in Dec 2024 we received notification that National Highways had dropped their proposal to stop right hand turns into and out of George Hill. We also met with East Sussex Highways to discuss local highways issues.
APRIL: Annual Village Assembly
MAY: Flood Awareness event with the Environment Agency
JUNE: Robertsbridge 800!!! One to tell the grandchildren about…
AUGUST: VJ 80 at War Memorial
SEPTEMBER: Councillor Sean O’Hara spoke at Rother Planning Committee against the Bishops Lane development and the application was refused.
OCTOBER: Liaised with RBL on Remembrance Events, organising the road closures and with RBS on Robertsbridge Bonfire for November
NOVEMBER : We worked with Homes England on Mill Site community workshops at the Primary School and Robertsbridge Club
DECEMBER: As always we supported Christmas Capers, putting up Christmas light motifs and hosting the Lights of Love tree for St Michael’s Hospice. We also took part in St Mary’s Church Christmas Tree Festival.
On behalf of all Councillors and our two indispensable Clerks I would like to wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas and a New Year filled with hope.
Nick Brown
