Now we are five
Anyone still need a food waste bin?…we have five going spare. If you know anyone who is not using their bin please encourage them to use it, or if that is not possible bring it to us so we can recycle it to someone else.
From March 2026, every council in England is carrying out weekly food waste collections from all households. This is a new legal requirement by the Government under the new Simpler Recycling Regulations. By collecting food waste we can actively reduce the amount we throw away as household waste. This helps increase our recycling rate as well as reducing our impact on the environment and therefore helps towards tackle climate change. Food waste makes up about 30% of the average household waste bin. By using your food caddy you will free up space in your rubbish bins and help cut down on the amount of waste going to incineration.
