Jim McMahon, Local Government Minister, announced yesterday in the House of Commons that the 2 unitary proposal for local government in East Sussex and Brighton will proceed, one council for East Sussex and another for Brighton. It has been decided that East Saltdean, Peacehaven and Telscombe will come under Brighton & Hove City Council.
