10:50 Service begins (Vicar leads) – to include blessing of wreaths and 2 minute silence at 11am
11:30 (ish) Service ends and parade forms up outside Church and sets off to the Village War Memorial in the High Street. Rolling road closures cover Church Lane and Northbridge Street, and the High Street to Salehurst Primary School (traffic lights allow parade to cross the A21)
12:00 (ish) Parade arrives at Village War Memorial and Standards, Wreath layers and Groups assemble in position. High Street from south of Station Road to Salehurst Primary School remains closed, the rest reopens.
12:20 (ish) Once ready, ceremony begins (RBL) with opening words, followed by the Last Post. A maroon marks the start of a 2 minute silence, followed by Reveille, Kohima Prayer, laying of wreaths.
12:45 (ish) Chairman Poppy Appeal announces total money raised by Poppy Appeal last year, and awards the Hayward Trophy for most money raised by a village organisation / group.
12:50 (ish) Parade is dismissed and falls out. High Street is reopened to traffic as soon as the road is clear.
Road Closures – a rolling road closure (closed only when/where necessary) will cover The Clappers, Northbridge Street and Church Lane approximately 10:25 – 11:00 for the Parade to the Church. Then 11:40 – 13:00 for the Parade back to the village, and the Wreath Laying at the War Memorial. However, once the Parade has passed Station Road on the return journey, the High Street will only be closed between south of Station Road and Salehurst Primary School. So traffic will be able to use Station Road, lower High Street, Northbridge Street etc. whilst the Ceremony takes place at the War Memorial (approximately 12:10 – 12:50).
